| This trek provides you with one of the rarest views of the entire range of Yamnotri - Gangotri - Kedarnath - Badrinath mountain peaks. In the process you pass through the seven bugyals of panwalikantha, where if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of blue - mountain - goat. This trek is part of the ancient pilgrims trail from Gangotri to Kedarnath, in the tradition of vamavrata yatra that begin from Yamnotri and ended at badrinath, after paying respects at the Gangotri and kedarnath shrines. |

| All the participants are requested to assemble at GMVN - Rest House, Muni-Ki-Reti, Rishikesh. Dinner and overnight at TRH, Muni-Ki-Reti, Rishikesh. |

| After breakfast, drive 256 kms to Joshimath. Hot lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at TRH Joshimath. |

Description : It is the most important town on route to Badrinath and is a major halting station. Its religious history,magnificiant scenery, bracing climate and well stocked market provide the visitor with all he needs for a holiday or a pilgrimage. The ancient name of Joshimath was Jyotirmath because Adi Guru Shankaracharya attained englightenment here in a cave. In this cave he wrote his famous Shankar Bhasya and set forth in the great task of reviving the Hindu religion.
