Assan Barrage is fast turning into a Birdwatchers Paradise. It serves as a winter passage halt for trans Himalayan migratory birds. These birds are spotted here on their way to south india i.e. in October-November and again on their way back i.e. late February-March. The bird profile at Assan Barrage changes every fortnight during winters.
