All rights reserved.</copyright><item><title>Kailash Mansarovar Yatra</title><description>&lt;p style="line-height: 14pt; margin: 6pt 0in; mso-line-height-rule: exactly"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt"&gt;The world-famous and holy &lt;st1:place w:st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:placetype w:st="on"&gt;Mt.&lt;/st1:placetype&gt; &lt;st1:placename w:st="on"&gt;Kailash &amp;amp; Manas&lt;/st1:placename&gt; &lt;st1:placetype w:st="on"&gt;Lake&lt;/st1:placetype&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; have been, the source of inspiration in many religions and beliefs. Despite the tong and treacherous distances involved, and many difficulties to be faced, people are keen to go in this trip, at least once in their lives. &lt;br /&gt;
Though continuing from centuries, this pilgrimage had been discontinued from 1959 to 1980, and when restarted in 1981, it has was welcomed by everyone. Hundreds of Indians thus got the opportunity to go undertake this journey Situated on the other side of Himalayas of Uttakhand, Kailash &amp;amp; Mansarovar are the most pious and arguably most beautiful, of hindus shrines. Also, from religious point of view these are highly revered. Darshan and &amp;ldquo;parikrama&amp;rdquo;of Kailash and Mansarovar is considered as uncommonly piousy the believe of four religions Bonpa, Hindu, Buddhist and Jain.&lt;br /&gt;
Bonpa, the ancient Tibetans, see a nine story &amp;lsquo;swastik&amp;rsquo; in it and &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="line-height: 14pt; margin: 6pt 0in; mso-line-height-rule: exactly"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt"&gt;Consider it an abode of Damchauk and Dorge Phangmo. Hindus worship it as the abode of Shiva and Parvati. Buddhists believe it to be the home of Buddha and Manipadam and Jains Worship it as the place of &amp;ldquo;nirwana of &lt;em&gt;first &lt;/em&gt;Tirthankar&amp;rdquo;. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="line-height: 14pt; margin: 6pt 0in; mso-line-height-rule: exactly"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt"&gt;Near Mansarovar, there is a beautiful lake called Rakashtal or Ravanhirad. In the north of this lake are the &lt;st1:placetype w:st="on"&gt;Mt.&lt;/st1:placetype&gt; &lt;st1:placename w:st="on"&gt;Kailash&lt;/st1:placename&gt; and its series (22028 ft/6675 mts.) and in the south is the &lt;st1:place w:st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:placetype w:st="on"&gt;Mount&lt;/st1:placetype&gt; &lt;st1:placename w:st="on"&gt;gurala&lt;/st1:placename&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; . From this region originate four big rivers of north &lt;st1:place w:st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:country-region w:st="on"&gt;India&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; - Karnalies, Satluj,Brahamputra and Sindh. Though a treacherous 865 kms from &lt;st1:city w:st="on"&gt;Delhi&lt;/st1:city&gt;, &lt;st1:placetype w:st="on"&gt;Mt.&lt;/st1:placetype&gt; &lt;st1:placename w:st="on"&gt;Kailash&lt;/st1:placename&gt; and Mansarovar in &lt;st1:place w:st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:country-region w:st="on"&gt;Tibet&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;, are always very near to the hearts of Indians. Due to Mansarovar,&lt;em&gt;&amp;rsquo; &lt;/em&gt;Uttarakhand is also termed as Manas-Khand. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Thus&lt;em&gt;. &lt;/em&gt;the Unique mountain and lake are attached to our history, culture and mythology In the Parikrama of Kailash (Kongrigpoke) one has to walk 55 kms. and its highest point is &lt;br /&gt;
Dolmapass at 19000 ft. Mansarovar is situated at the height of 14930 ft/14530 mt. with a &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
